Dormir la privation *Sleep Deprivation*

Have not slept for more then 37 hours. My head is so fuzzy and feels like it's been stuffed with candy floss.

My nose is stuffy.

My eyes feel like they are going to start lolling in their sockets.

My body feels numb and itchy.

I guess these are the symptoms of sleep deprivation.

Sleeping is so so important, to maintain a healthy body system. But for me, that's my 2nd most screwed up system.

I can't sleep properly. I can't sleep early. So i am seriously lacking in that department.

Between the hours of 12-4a.m. the body works the hardest to repair and rejuvenate. So it is crucial to get those few hours of sleep.

I always manage to bypass it.

Anyway, I'm suffering for it now. Huge zits and eye bags, I feel so crabby.

Bad news, my driver circuit does not work. So I'm back to square one.

My presentation is on the 14th.

i have decided to discontinue "Blique'd Blog of the Day". It's too troublesome, i don't have the time. Maybe "of the week" would be better.

Just found out that the necklaces i bought, or at least one in particular, is totally so not special. "Sianz 1/2" Lolx

I like to be different, but most of the time I'm too lazy.

It's late late late, yet i still can't sleep.

Blogging is not good for my health. I stay up way.. too late, just to post these meaningless inane things.

My face is so fucking damn oily. If i squeeze my skin out, my mama won't need to buy cooking oil anymore.

I just changed my naval stud back to the surgical steel one. Hopefully, I'm not allergic to it anymore. Then i can buy nice nice cheap studs. (Babe, that day at your place, I was so eyeing the feather one you posted on you blog. Hehehe But i doubt if i will get that.)

I'm becoming more "hiao" but it doesn't make me wanna exercise. Or take better care of my skin, by sleeping early. I just feel like putting on makeup more often. (previously i never use makeup, unless for special occasions) But it's so troublesome, so i don't. Dressing up abit more. (But as you an tell, I'm still too lazy)

I'm also starting to spend alot more. Money which i should not use, do not have. There are so many things i wanna get. so many.. and it's never enough. In the past, i seldom bought things for myself. I prefer to spend on my family, bf, special occasions, etc.. Now, if i see something i like, maybe can afford, (I don't go for branded stuff) i usually end up buying it. I guess sometimes when you restrict yourself too much, you end up doing stupid things. (Inpulse buys)

But i really wanna get new belly rings.. Argh!!! New footwear, accessories, hair texture...

Figure, complexion, eyesight, nose... The list goes on and on.. Nothing will ever be enough. Coz when you fulfill one want, there will be another few to replace it.

At least i don't obsess about them. (Not much -bleahx-)

Now i obsess about my problems, babe, FYP, blogging, my life in general and basically all other inane stuff.

Damnz, I'm getting worse.

Met up with Wenlie today.. Have not seen him in quite awhile, usually we have a biannual dinner or something.

He has lost weight -grits teeth- Life is so unfair. Looking slightly gaunt but better then the last time i saw him.

So he came to fetch me after school. He rides a Super 4.

The thing i like about Super 4s, is the seat for the pillion. So comfy.. (Baby, I'm not complaining about your seat, but can u change the cover please.. Hehe)

Went to change the visor of his helmet 1st. Then we went to Bugis Junction to window shop. The poor guy, was not feeling well. Had the flu and a bad cough. His day went quite badly as well.

It was like, "Meet the Exes Day" for him. At Bugis, he saw his most recent Ex. They didn't have an amiacable breakup. And even tho they keep in contact occasionally, it's just her still making use of him.

So that made him "sian 1/2" already, coz earlier on he was just telling me that he has not gotten over her.

So i tried to cheer him up, talk crap and all. Trying to counsel him. I suggested going to Bugis Village so that i can look for my beaded stuff.

Argh!! They have so many nice nice stuff!! I haven been there in ages, really ages.. And they have lotsa new shops. I was oohhing here and aahhhing there. *Suaku*

We went to the 2nd floor, and there i saw a shop selling something like the kinda necklace i was looking for.. The guy was very persuasive. He kept stressing that it was this much cheaper compared to this place, and that place. And Wenlie was looking so bored while i was trying on the necklaces. *Guilty face* So i quickly decided to get 2. Supposed to be a bargain ma.

Nice?

After that, Wenlie pulled me to another store, "I show you something, you don't *tui leh" (*feel regretful) And there was another store also selling beaded necklaces, and theirs is like better quality. Coz they use a metal line instead of fishing line. More durable and won't stretch. Argh!!! Slightly more expensive, but i wouldn't have minded.

Too bad, i already spent too much on frivolous items.

Felt really thirsty, so we went for a drink. Actually wanted to catch a movie, but it was kinda late. So most places didn't have anymore shows. In the end, we went to Holland Village.

He wanted to try the Fondue, so we ordered a Fun in Fondue (Or was it Fun on Fondue?)

OMG.. It was fan-Fucking-tastic!! Yummilicious! (Please grab a hankie to wipe up your drool)

Okai, it doesn't look fantastic la, but it's good. Much better then the one at the Esplanade. Coz it comes with 4 flavours of ice-cream as well. Strawberry, chocolate, coffee and macadamia nut. I love the Macadamia nut ice-cream. Mmmm Mmmm... It was really frozen, so you don't need to rush thru eating the ice-cream 1st.

Also comes with fruits. Apples, strawberries and bananas. We ordered a single serving, but if you're a chocolate fondue fan (like me) you can't share a single serving. Hehehe *piggy eyes*

The chocolate itself wasn't anything special actually.

So anyway, we were just relaxing and talking about stuff. Asked about his other ex, how is she.. yada yada yada.. Then we took turns going to the loo. when i came back, he was like, "Shit! I saw Katherine" (That's the Ex i was asking about)


"Where? where?"

"Behind me, in Haagen Dazs"

I craned my neck to peep.

"Which one? You sure it's her anot?"

So he sent me home, and we chatted under a block. Almost 1, my mama called me. So it was time to go home.

i got chewed out for coming back late. She complains that she only gets to see me if she deliberately stays up to wait for me. Haiz.. I'm like, not 8 anymore mum.. But i know it's coz she loves me. So i try not to mind.

(I smsed my baby that i was going to catch a movie with Wenlie, and when he called me he said, "Who say you can go watch movie with this guy?" And asked me how i know him, who is he, etc etc.. I know it was all an act, coz he doesn't give this kinda thing any thought. But it was nice feeling that he may have been abit jealous. -big grin-)

In the end, i did meet up with Suyin yesterday. Went over to her place. The poor gal, was in pain. Coz of her viral infection, her body was aching all over. Whacking coughs.. Poor dear. Hope you will recover asap babe!!

Anyway, my project is in limbo. (Did i use it correctly?) I have yet to do anything substantial. What the heck am i suppposed to show for my final presentation in 2 weeks? OMg..

I can't find my supervisor. He isn't picking up my calls. And he doesn't seem to remember or care that my presentation is coming up, but i still got nothing to show.

I gave him a sketch of the driver circuit that i have been trying so hard to find. (Provided by the kind people from the forum) But he has yet to let me know if it is correct. I need the driver circuit components to test my sensor. Blardy hell!!

I think i will probably need to repeat my FYP. Please no.. *Cross fingers*

My lab mate just told me that he saw my supervisor. Gotta go waylay him. -Haiz-

Stomachs growling, so off to Ramen Ten we go. Yummilicious, the new food we tried, Ebi Corokke *shiok*

*Doink Doink Doink* We hopped down to Urban Warehouse to check out the wallets. We bought a cute pink Bum wallet for my mama. Coz she got promoted. -smiles- I wanted to get another for myself. But, couldn't decide which one to get. ><"

Popped into Heeren and Paragon. Gior Jr. Fantastic tees! I'm so glad we can still wear child sizes *Hyuk hyuk* *Pocket starts burning holes* -4 tees!-

Anyway, he wasn't feeling too well. Heaty and all.. I took a cab home myelf at 3a.m. so that he would not need to send me home. I really missed him. Even tho he seems more 'beng'. He seems to care more as well.. Hmm... Anyway, gotta crash soon, meeting up with him tommorrow as well.

Reason: I have loved her blog since Mr Big Fuck listed her on his site. She's not afraid to make fun of herself. Yes, yes.. Why am I doing such mindless, meaningless things when i oughta be stressing over my Final Year Project (Or lack of). The answer to that is, ... I don't know why.

I sleep late late late. Wake up marginally late, depending on my stomach or when nature calls. And do this -points to blog- and that -points to food strewn table- and that too -points to TV- (My computer is in my living room, don't go thinking that I'm some rich kid. The thought!! Wahahaha.. I'm too poor to imagine) So whilst decreasing my brain mass, I'm increasing my body's girth. Sounds fair, but not desireable.

Urgh!!! I have promised my babe that i would go to school, and I'm supposed to meet Melmel to go to Suntec tommorrow..

Expanding Blogosphere

The Blogosphere is expanding. It is slowly but surely contaminating the workspace, schools, homes, lappies and PDAs, etc..

I guess mostly it is due to those high profile bloggers. A few we have seen on TV, but mostly in newspapers and magazines. It has become something like a fashion icon. Instead of a private online journal, some blogs read like tabloids. Very entertaining i must say, but so different from what it has evolved from.

I'm sure many have heard of Mr Brown, Mr Miyagi, Cowboy Caleb, The Big Fuck and our most famous female blogger, Xiaxue. These are a few of the people who have taken blogging to greater heights. All good reads, with well written entries. Very entertaining, sometimes politically incorrect. Lolx.. All to be admired, i guess. It has come to a point that you can hardly open a newspaper without seeing an article about blogging and the like.

Now with all the youths getting into the blogging scene, there are even more hub dubs.

Many observe that some female bloggers use deviant means to attract blogders. (Blog readers, yes.. there are such people who spend most if their days in front of the computer, reading about the lives of others) Such as photos of themselves, skimpily clad. Topless, even nude.. Are such means neccessary? Yeah sure, they go " I'm proud of my body, i have nothing to hide" What about modesty? I guess sexy, suggestive photos are still acceptable.. But nude?

Are bloggers so desperate for "viewership" that they resort to such tactics? Maybe the men are happier, but i'm not impressed. Some would say that i can just avoid such blogs, but the truth is. I enjoy the read. I like their writing prose. So if i have to see a few not so decent photos, i don't mind.

I'm not trying to be all uppity and moralistic, just expressing an opinion. I think that Xiaxue got the brunt of this fiasco. Coz the stupid stupid editor(s) who made the stupid stupid mistake of putting her picture on the article. Seems like people are really down on her as well, because of what she blogged about "Anon". She may have been really catty about her Anon's boobs but that has always been her style of writing. So why come down on her now?

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Just like, since Anon likes displaying her nude pix, by all means, go ahead. And Xiaxue can say anything she wants about that. It's only because her blog is so widely publicised, that the repercussions of her honesty, albeit tactlessness, are coming to haunt her.

But this brings unwanted attention to blogging. And it is not so safe anymore. Now, you can't just air you thoughts and views freely on your blog. You may get sued! So athough it's an expanding empire, is it for the best?

I have not been a blogger long, so i can't say much. Just stating my observations.

What i really really wanna do now, is to find another pair of funky funky boots. -bleahx-

Strangers can be so so helpful sometimes. I'm not talking about someone holding open the door for me or giving me directions. Although i do appreciate those gestures, but that's more like consideration. I'm talking about strangers, from other countries, willing to help a poor girl with her final year project. Lolx

Yes, i found a forum in which i posted the problems i am having with my project. and these people, they not only replied, they asked lots of questions, did research and then posted their theories and findings. So so helpful. They took the time to help out someone they did not know, not even from the same country. Although i have not actually managed to totally solve my problem, but that is due to my own ignorance, rather then lack of help.

So i am utterly grateful to the faceless people who have, and are still helping me.

Are you lonesome tonight?

Woo! Went to China Black again last night. Pre-birthday night out with Suyin. Ben went, so did Yilin, Desmond and Eugene.

Yilin came along to accompany me, so Des and Eugene came to keep her company. But they left early, coz Gene was feeling tired, and Des was sick. So the 4 of us boogied on.. The music wasn't as hot as the previous time, but it got better as the night wore on.. We twisted and shimmied. Shook our bonbons and had a great workout! Lolx.. Huiling didn't come coz when we were 1st there, the music sucked. And we told her that. Then as the music got better, she already changed out of her clothes, and it was late. We missed you Gal. Well, there will be other times.

I really love dancing, and i have not be doing it for awhile. So the rare times i go clubbing, i will dance my heart out. Yesterday i guess i caught unwanted attention with my moves and grooves.

I was just asking Suyin if he was trying to be funny, when she sort of pulled me towards her. That fucking bastard idiot actually tried to erm.. put his arms around me.. I think.. I could feel his sweaty hands on my arms. Asshole! I moved away and *Diaoed* (Stared in a aggresive way) him. He kept his distance after that.

I hate guys like him.. Haiz.. Later on, Suyin and I went up on the platform to dance. A guy actually stood below us and i think he wanted to talk to us. But we purposely did not look at him. Kept looking off into the distance. Hahaha.. in the end he gave up, and walked away.. So i had fun.. I always have a good time with my babe..
Glad that she and Ben seem to be happy together. Coz he seems like a really nice guy, and very cute to boot.. Lolx..

I must digress, My babe called my last night also. The poor thing injured his knees.. So now he is on light duty for 7 days. Poor baby.. I hope he takes good care of himself.. Yes, i miss him.. And keeping myself occupied does help.

Was supposed to go clubbing again with yilin, but i wasn't feeling well and my feet hurt like hell. My mummy won't be happy either, so i decided better not to go tonight.

Instead i went over to Suyin's place. She was throwing out some clothes again. Not some, alot of clothes. So she let me get first dibs...Thank you babe! *smiles*

Sometimes i really feel like a charity case. But there's no point being embarrassed about not being able to afford lotsa stuff or anything. And among friends, that would just be wasting my time. So i rein in my pride and I'm grateful that my friends don't treat me as one.

I can't blog regularly now, coz my sis is having her school holidays. So she uses the computer most of the time. Right now, short updates are the best i can do.

Did i mention i got my Tenjho Tenge Pinky Round 2 about 2 weeks ago? I'm so happy!! Hehehe..

Yes, i know, i have been really lazy to update lately. A few things have happened, and just can't find the time to blog.

I haven been to school for more then a week. 2 weeks in fact. OMg! I'm incorrigible! Haiz.. But have been feeling kinda depressed. He has gone to serve the nation, and things are just not the same without him.

Surprising, i'm not finding it that difficult to cope or anything. I don't mope around, maybe coz i have been busy. But i do feel that empty space that used to be filled with our meetings and laughter. Conversations that we can't have. Things like, not being able to just call him up and talk to him whenever i want to. Can't go over and watch anime or movies as and when i like.. So sad..

Anyway, i've got some pictures and what-nots which i have yet to upload. Stories which i have yet to tell. But now is not the time.. I don't feel like blogging that much now.

Letter of complaint

urgh!urgh! What a lousy day i had today, which started off with a tiff in the wee hours of the morning, with him.. Haiz hai.. Same old, same old..

I had to work at 1 today, was the grand opening.. and what job did i get? The job of giving out leftlets!!! Had to stand in the blistering heat and give out a thick stack of leftlets.

I only had breakfast before i went out. Then i didn't eat anything and was starving when i got home.

He came to fetch me from work, but was late. And there was still alot of tension. What was the point man? I don't get it.

The night is freaking hot. Sweltering heat. I can't stand it. It's giving me a migraine.

I dunno why, but i can't help feeling that my life is so aimless and pointless. So meaningless. Doing the same things, seeing the same people. I'm so sick of all these. The feeling of recklessness is threatening me again. I hate it when i feel this way, coz i will feel so dissatisfied and irritable.

Why do i keep obsessing about other peoples' lives? Yet, do nothing to improve my own?

I hate school coz i feel reined in. Even tho most of the time i am not in school. Relationships are such a hassle. I just caught "Boys and Girls" on tv, and i so.. identify with the character Jennifer, and how she chooses to live her life. Flitting here and there. Trying new things. Everything.

When i start to feel that i am in a rut. I get really negative about myself, and thus will isolate myself as well.

But what's the use of saying so much?

Anyway, what a coincident. The full timer at the shop's boyfriend came down with her today. And he found me familiar, so he asked her about me. Turns out, they are both friends of my ex. Small world. She told me that my ex told her bf that i was a good person. What the hell does that mean? Lolx!! Made me think about our relationship at that time, and wonder.. Why didn't it work out? So sad..

So i messaged him when i got home, but he didn't reply. So that's that. I won't think about it anymore.

Suddenly feel that i should make more of an effort to keep in touch with friends, and meet up. But i'm too lazy.

My plan for today was soiled. so i'm in a crabby mood.

Fucking Damn heat! I gotta go shower before i spontaneously combust!!

Oblique's Series of Unfortunate Events

Yesterday i went to IMM for the Tikum Fair. OMG!!! All the eye candy!! Lots and lots of kawaii dongdongs! But i was on an extremely unlucky streak. Hence the title of the post.

Incident 1: I tripped and almost fell when walking thru the IMM carpark. That was when we were walking over. *Diaoz*

Incident 2: I went there hoping to get my H.K tincan Mascot. Wanted to complete the set. AS i heard that the Cineleisure machines were empty le. When i reached the Tikum Fair, spirits were high.. But to my dismay.... the Tincans were sold out. No refills.

So went to look for the mini H.K dongdong machine instead.

Incident 3: Yes, there were 3 dongdongs with that, but all did not have the colour i was looking for (Pink) Oh.. so sad.. But Yilin got a blue wan.. Hehehehe

So we walked around peering at all the machines. Wondering which ones we should, or should i say I.. Lolx.. should invest my money in..

Spotted a cute one called Panda-Z Roboanimation-$3

Incident 4: I dong that one, the first capsule i got was quite nice when i first saw it, but compared to the others, it was not that nice. So i dong again.. Guess What.. I got the Exact same one! KNN!! Nvm.. i changed more coins, not believing that i could not get different one. The next one was nicer then the first, so i felt better and.. not knowing when to stop.. i decided to get one more...

Yes, you guessed it, I got the same one again. Same as the first! Which means I got 3 of the same!!!! So suay!!! Getting fed up, i tried one last time.. Luckily i got a different one.. Lolx

I was down to 2 $1 coins.. Yilin wanted to leave already, but then i spotted a Toy Story dongdong machine. A mini Tincan that comes with a tiny figurine inside-$2. 6 different ones, only the Zurg one was ugly..

Incident 5: So i said, "Skali i get the ugly one.." and Yilin said, "Cannot be la, you where got so suay" Yes, i was that unlucky. My machine jammed and the guy came over to help me retrieve the capsule. I got ZURG!! $%^&*#$#&*$!! #&*^% I almost cried! Babyish, but so sad...

I sold one extra Panda-Z to Yilin for $2 and gave the other to my sis. Haiz..

Aside from those i donged one mini burger , one mini bowl of fish noodles and one mini "something" (Some kinda food) Lolx..

Total damage = ($3 x 5) + $2 + ($1 x 3) -$2 = $18

Doesn't seem like that much, coz lucky Yilin pulled me away and forbid me from donging anymore, since my luck was so down.

So we walked back to the MRT Station..

Incident 6: I tripped again, almost fell again. Damn!!!!

I'll wait for the fair to move to Suntec. So i have to start saving $1 coins again.. Anyone wanna make donations??? Lolx
