My weekend Event *Photolog*

Ah.....



I am so so tired.. The usual refrain.



I barely sleep from Mon to Fri and everyday I trudge to work and home.



Attended a 'Xmas Party' on Saturday.
So funny right, Xmas party in October??

But it was fun and I brought my mama along. *grinz*

It was the for the launch of their Xmas coffrets, so the event was held in a classy hotel with lunch provided. (Registration was not free, but I only had to pay $10 for both of us coz we utilized the redeemable voucher)

The food was pretty good, all finger food. Bite size desserts.

There were games to play and prizes to win.. With my mama I'm always game. We got a small prize for winning one of them :)

But we didn't win any of the 'real' prizes in the 3 draws. *pouts*

But it was really loads of fun la. Especially since I got to spend the time with my mama.
We spent a shitload. (I still owe her til I get my paycheque o_o")

After that Oppa came to fetch me to his Sister's house-warming.
Really nice place, but no pictures coz there were too many people. Hoh



Today I was stationed at 2 Shenton Way to do resets. Was too tired to arrange to meet Man Man or Agnes for lunch, so I da bao-ed from the sandwich shop.

Uber expensive. Verging on the ridiculous (Coz I'm not in the same income range as the people who work in this area)
But oh so tempting.

Fresh greens, Salads with pasta. And the sandwiches. The Sandwiches!!

I bought me a Roast Beef and Cheddar sandwich (double) and a peanut butter cookie. *Ker Ching* Grabbed a bottle of green tea from Cheers and I present my healthy, yummy, costly lunch.

The bread is like xtra large, not the normal puny slices of bread.

Aiya, I just wanna stress how much I love that little touch, made me happy to spend $8.50 on a friggin, albeit great tasting, sandwich.


Tomorrow got Q&A session with my apps team. Lotsa emails to clear and a long day ahead. *Here we go again....*

MC again...


Woke up this morning feeling feverish and headachy. My body was aching all over.


So went to see the Doc, he recommended doing a blood test so that he can test my immune system. Did a sugar level test too..


Haiz, keep falling sick nowadays.. Very expensive leiz.. Today's bill came to $64!!


On to happier matters, finally uploaded my pictures..

We had to get off in the middle of our main course because we felt too sick to continue eating on the cable car. *bah*


Dear Oppa, it was a wonderful experience. I loved it and will forever treasure it. Don't beat yourself up over the minor hiccups. *smiles*

Oppa also gave me flowers that day!

He rememebered that I mentioned I like Lilies.
So sweet!




And he gave me a few small gifts, just so I could unwrap some presents.
Coz the sky dining burned a hole in his NSman salary.

I was a wonderful weekend celebration..

OCC: Oblique's Cooking Class


Just wanted to share a 'recipe' that's for those lazy people who have nothing much in their cupboards but can't be bothered to go out and buy grocceries.



Recipe 1: Parmesan Omelette Mee Goreng (Instant)

As the name clearly states, the ingredients you will need are,

1 packet of Mee Goreng Instant Noodles
Grated Parmesan Cheese/Parmesan Cheese Flakes
1 egg
Pepper

Step 1: Dump noodles into boiling water

Step 2: Crack an egg into a bowl of Parmesan Cheese flakes/Grated Parmesan cheese*I prefer flakes but I added both*



Step 3: Scramble the egg, mix it well with the cheese and add pepper



Step 4: The noodles should be done at this point.



Remove from heat and drain the water



Step 6: Add the condiments to the drained noodles and mix well.



Step 7: Turn on the heat, push the noodles to on side of the pan and use the oil provided with the noodles to heat the other side



Pour the egg mixture onto the oily side of the pan



I prefer to separate the egg from the noodles first, bit you can do it any way you like



Step 8: When the egg is slightly cooked, mix it well with the noodles and continue to mix and fry for about 3 mins until the egg is slightly crispy looking.

Ready to Serve

This recipe was modified from a friend's. I don't use much oil, so it's a nicer alternative to just plain Mee Goreng.

Now it's like Italian Instant Noodles. Hah

A whooping $250!!!
Why? Coz we got her 18k white gold earrings studded with a small diamond.

Finally, my birthday has come to an end. 5 days of meet ups, good food and a night of partying has taken it's toll on me. I had the flu on friday night and couldn't recover in time for my saturday meet up. So I'm sorry guys, that I wasn't in top form!! Gomen ne..

Went to MOS on the eve of my birthday.. Boy was it hot!!!! Sweltering, we were sweating like pigs in a slaughterhouse *grinz*


The music was good, the company was great and of course the drinks i had didn't hurt one bit. Haha


We gyrated and grooved like there was no tommorrow. The only blot was that some people couldn't make it. I wish you babes were there!!!

Thursday and friday was a private celebration. I just want to say that, I am so touched, Deeply and truly touched at the effort he put in. I was stunned, and shocked and so emotional. Thank you baby...

Saturday was a meet up with my ex colleagues. But unlucky me, fell ill the night before. So i couldn't enjoy myself much and had to have an early night. Thanks to all who came. Especially to Weiquan and David for the lovely mug *smiles*

Another long long wait til the next one...



How was my Xmas? It was okai.. I spent the day before Xmas eve and the afternoon of Xmas eve running around like a mad woman. Trying to purchase all my gifts in time.



Eve:


Had a nice dinner with my small little family.. Mama cooked, fab steak with baked potatoes and salad. Yummy*


Highlight: Chocolate Fondue right before midnight, and exchange of gifts.


We bought for my mama a U-zap!! Hehehe High cost, hope it's a worthy investment.

Xmas:

Last minute tidying up.. Extended family came for dinner.. Had a feast, drank some wine.. Wine cooler actually.. Hehehe



Highlight: Exchange of gifts and Chocolate Fondue. It's now that i realise that we did pretty much the same thing..



Anywayz, i had my own program on after that..



Our Xmas:

I got him practical stuff.. Firstly, i really didn't have the time nor the money.. So sad..



An Adidas WindBreaker (Finally, he doesn't need to get thoroughly wet when it rains) and Nike Training Gloves.. Nothing whimsicle, very boring stuff..


But my baby surprised me this year. He put in alot of effort.. and he was so sweet..


One prezzie i truly appreciate is the pinky ring from SK. I lost mine awhile back, and he remembered that i wanted it alot. It's not expensive at all and altho he didn't get me the same Rosegold one, but i love it all the same. Because, he remembered.



Another prezzie was a 3D jigsaw. If you can recall, quite a few months ago.. May, to be precise.. It was my birthday and he went to a particular place to get a particular gift for me. Which fell out of the bag on his way home, and was left on the road... I was quite upset and kept calling him stupid.. Lol..



Yes, the puzzle was what was lost and he got it for me again... So sweet right???



Lastly, he gave me a necklace as well.. A very nice one.. Something which i did not have before.. My First....

My mama's Birthday.. I couldn't afford to get her SK2 =( so i got her BodyShop Vitamin E range instead. =p



My dear mama cooked breakfast for us, and made hot chocolate as well. What a nice way to start the day.


But things went downhill...

We primped and planned to paint the town red.



No la.. Hehehe.. We wanted to watch Narnia.. Checked out Cathay Cineleisure, but the earlier shows were fully booked.

Had to get Ken to help me check out PS, but it was the same case as well.. *Thanks boy, Xin ku ni le*



In the end we went to take some Neoprint thingy.. Hahaha.. Stupid us, never read instructions and what nots.. We spent a freaking long time decorating those we wanted to keep *as in on the screen, before printing* and we ended up selecting to print those we didn't want!! Argh!! so we tried again... But the pix not as nice le. =( *cries*



Went to NYDC for dinner.. We gave my mama a treat. Good food, but lousy ambience coz of the NYE promo commentator.. Too full to try their dessert, so sad..



Walked around awhile then decided to head home early to watch "My Sassy Girl" (Thanks ART!!)



It started to rain as we were making our way to the bus stop.. And it was torrents of rain!! Sheets of rains, coming from different directions. Even with umbrellas, we were drenched. Our bottoms at least.. *pouts*



Finally. we were home.. Took a quick shower, popped some chestnuts and relaxed on the sofa in my bro's room to watch the show. Chips and sparkly all close by.. =) *Bliss*




So this is a quick short update of my past few days la.. All that happened in between the posts, i have no time to mention.. So too bad.. I will try harder next time.. *grinz*




Tommorrow i have to go back to work.. I'm dreading it coz i'm so tired... *bah*



But at least the work situation has improved..


Did i mention that there are a few new girls now? My "tu di" is great! Lol.. They even gave me a Xmas card, which i jokingly requested for la (Bu yao lian) So my workload has been cut down abit.. Yippee!!



I just hope that they can cope, especially poor Amanda.. Who got thrown into the water before she could swim..



As for Jemi (that's what i christianed her =p) so far so good.. But hor, she likes to irritate me!!! Lol.. At least, I'm enjoying myself abit more now..
